Anyone been Sailing during 2nd?

My In-laws have invited us on a sailing trip the 2nd week of February, I will be at 27 weeks.  I love sailing and didn't think twice at first.  My doctor said she doesn't see any reason why I can't go, but I am just concerned on how my body is going to react.  I have never gotten sea sick before, and we are not going to far off shore.  We will be on the boat for about 5 days though.  Has anyone been sailing while in their 2nd trimester?  If so, any advice?

I have spend time on our boat both pregnancies.  I never got sick prior to pregnancy and didn't get sea sick while pregnant.  Stay hydrated and maybe bring some hard candy in case you don't feel well. Otherwise enjoy!

I went on a day long halibut charter in Alaska during 2nd trimester with DS1.  The water was extremely rough and I did vomit once but I think that would of happened pregnant or not.  Everyone on that boat was sick.  I would go again though especially because we got our limit and had our freezers stocked for almost a year.

My only advice would be sure to bring plenty of food to snack on throughout the day as opposed to eating large meals.  It has always helped me to keep something in the stomach at all times while on water.

We just spent a day boating in Miami over the holiday and toward the end, my hubby and I actually got concerned. we were going at a good clip and the water was rough and I was feeling bounced around a bit. I felt like I was on a roller coaster ride. I did not get nauseous, but my back was sore the next day from trying not to be jerked around too much. No more boat rides for me. Maybe it depends how big the boat is though.
