DS slept in our room in a PnP for ~6 months... it came with a newborn napper and then when he was too heavy he switched to the main part which was raised... if you don't think you'll use it I'd take it back or if you have something else...
I really preferred DS sleeping in our room but it's all personal preference... we will be having DD in our room this time too
