BBT suggestions

I didn't temp/chart while TTC baby #1, but if things don't work out this cycle I might try it. I was looking at BBTs on Amazon, and there are good and bad reviews for all of them. It's a lot to sort through.

Do you have suggestions for a good brand to buy? I'd prefer one that doesn't beep really loudly so I don't wake up DH or the dog.

I use the Mabis brand, it is pretty popular around these parts. I honestly don't pay much attention to the beep since my time to temp is set to DH's alarm, not mine.

I love my Mabis.  It's super easy to use and I think it takes a temp in a decent amount of time.

Mine is a BBT from CVS.  I takes forever to temp, but it does the job pretty well.

I use the CVS brand BBT. I like it. My only real advice is to not get the Walgreen's brand. It was horrible at giving me flat temps.

Mabis here as well. I actually like the beep. I'm pretty sure it wakes mr back up once it's done doing its job. Which I like.

What is different about a BBT than a regular thermometer? 

I found the Mabis brand one on Amazon for about $7. Are there different ones by Mabis?

A BBT is more precise than a fever thermometer.  That's the BBT I have.

It's a $7-10 thermometer. People really need brand recommendations for this?

Just buy one and if it breaks or you don't like it, throw it out and get a different one.

But by all means, let's have 1000 more threads about this! $10 is a serious investment after all.
