what do you think?

DH is pretty stuck on Easton Thomas if we have a boy, I like it, but not 100% sold yet, although I haven't offered anything better. I need opinions please. 

 

Thomas is a family name on both sides so thats staying.

I like Thomas. 

Easton is NMS and a bat company. Oddly enough, I don't mind Weston.

I like Thomas. I don't like Easton. Agree with pp- I prefer Weston.

I too prefer Weston, but I also like Easton.

Yes, I know its a Bat company, its also a Hockey stick company and DH is a hockey player. I think that is why I am not 100% sold on it. His idea of naming babies (especially boys) is to think of all the athletes he loves and other things Hockey related, and stick them on a baby. Trust me, this is the best option he has come up with so far. We are so different when it comes to names, but he chose DD's name and I love it (no hockey/sports reference to her name at all either).

funny, I had a neighbor growing up named Nolan Ryan Lastname. not kidding.

I don't know much about Hockey players except that most of the players are not from America so they have different (mostly french) names.  Our cat is Mikko after Mikko Koivu. Thank goodness or else he might want to name our child Mikko. I honestly can't believe I am actually looking up hockey names.

I prefer Easton over Weston but still not really a fan of it. Names that are similar that I like better are Hudson, Harris, Holden, Colton.

Oh No. Easton is really bad and the hockey reference makes it even worse. It's fine to name a pet after athletic equipment, but a human being deserves better. Thomas is nice though!

Hahah I'm glad to see my DH isn't the only one! I had a post a few months ago about a gold club brand that my husband wanted to use for a boys name. We have since moved onto "real" names...maybe it'll phase out with your DH too. I like Thomas!

This is why I'm not a fan. It's the new "it" name around here along with Bauer. Bleh.

Maybe talk to your DH about grown men he knows and admires, maybe where he works (aka not hockey players).  I think sometimes it's easier to name a blob on an ultrasound screen than a contributing member of society.

I dislike Easton.  I have a cousin with the name and all the parents hear is, "Like the bat or hockey stick." Followed by giggles or stares. 

I like Thomas as a middle name.

If you are looking for a hockey player name, there are better ones. Some players with names that go with Thomas

Ryan, Grant, Jordan, Ryan, Collin, Mark, Eric

name definitely doesn't have to be a hockey name. Thanks for the feedback, I think I am going to have to veto this name, I don't want my child to be known as "the kid named after a hockey stick"
