I made a post way back when I find out I was pregnant and got some great suggestions, but now I can't find it...
I am expecting another little girl and I am having the hardest time with names. My husband and I both like Maren (specifically Maren Alexandra) and Hazel, but we have gotten nasty feedback from our family members.
Current girls are Avery Isabella, Camille Renee and Elizabeth Lynn.
Nasty feedback on Maren? That's an awesome name! I'd keep it on the list. Tell your family to suck it if you like it! Here are some other suggestions:

Vanessa
Gretchen
Greta
Margaret

My mom said "Your baby will not appreciate your attempt to be creative." I don't think she understands that I didn't just make the name up, haha.

Maren is really pretty, and it sounds great with Alexandra.
I have to say I don't personally care for Hazel, but sorry you are getting nasty feedback-- that's not cool!
Your family doesn't get to decide. Maren Alexandra is very pretty.
Maren and Hazel are both very lovely names. And so are the others you listed.
As for your family....there are definitely names that I cringed when I first heard them, but now not only do I love the name, I can't imagine that child with ANY other name! Choose a name you love, even if it's not everyone else's favorite. They might grow to really love and appreciate its "uniqueness" over time.
I love Maren Alexandra. If you love it, use it!

This. I hate when family has an opinion on names for children that are not their own. My mom informed me that she did not like the first name I had chosen, so she and my dad might be calling my baby by her middle name that they love. I informed her that they would not be doing that - that they had their chance when naming three daughters and they would have no input in what they call their granddaughter. This is the only girl I will ever have and we happen to love the name, so that is why we chose it for her first name.
My mother does a lot of annoying things, but I nearly snapped with that one!
