questioning our middle name choice...

just wanted to get your opinions...

all MN options are family names - our first choice is to use Thomas...but might be a really long name with our last name being really long too.

I don't mind long names-- I like William Thomas the best.  Anyway Thomas is only 2 letters longer than Cole.

I'm partial to William Thomas, because my nephew is Liam Thomas! Also my grandfather was William, so it's our MN pick for a boy.

I don't mind long names, but I wouldn't really consider William Thomas a long name. I mean, if it were Theodore Maximilian or Sebastian Aloisius, that would be one thing, but two common, two-syllable names would not strike me as long, no matter your last name.

I would not worry about the length of the middle name, most of the time it isn't used or on forms it is the middle initial.  I would go with William Thomas.

This is just me and my long last name but I would just use Will or Liam, unless you actually plan to use the full name all the time.

I love William Thomas (best of the three) but if you're really want to go with a short name then William Cole.

I don't think William Thomas is too long at all, it's four syllables.  How often will anyone actually be writing out "William Thomas Lastname", anyway?  It's a great name.

I actually really like William Thomas, even with a long last name.  I dislike William Cameron (sounds even longer).  I like William Cole, too.  But, my favorite is William Thomas.
