DS was the same way. We introduced a bottle at like 3 weeks (b4 I lost my job and thought I'd only be off for 6 weeks), and he did great so we stopped. When we started bottles again at like 5 months it was a nightmare.
We tried a million different kinds. I was avoiding expensive bottles, but finally bought the Tommee Tippee that the lactation consultant recommended. And he latched on great! It's very boob shaped. Plus it's only 3 parts, and easy to throw in the dishwasher. Can you tell I love them? :)
I think it's just a matter of finding what bottles your LO will tolerate. It sucks to spend the money, just to have her reject it, but what can you do? I found that a bigger store like Babies R Us will sell the bottles in a single pack, where as smaller places like our Walmart only has the 3 or 4 packs.
FWIW - DS doesn't know how to put his mouth around a sippy cup spout yet either, so I don't think you LO is far from normal or anything!
