Kpan123:Thanks - I guess I just feel weird calling for the appt- like what do I say, my normal doctor isnt an OB and I think I have an issue, but she doesnt agree? I know I need to make the appt, I guess I just feel weird- Im not trying to throw the other doctor under the bus, but I would like a second opinion. It would be easier if I was due for my annual exam and approached it that way, but it isnt.
Thanks for all the opinions- its so helpful to have ppl to talk to see we arent telling anyone we are TTC :)
You're not throwing her under the bus, she no longer practices within the scope of things that you need.
So, it comes down to that your current doctor is no longer an OB, so you need a OBGYN anyway. Plus, you can say that due to this change, she does not feel comfortable doing those tests in the scope of her license/practice. Therefore, you need an OBGYN that can assist you with a few concerns.
