It's TWINS!

We had an ultasound yesterday & found out that we are having twins. One boy & one girl. I'm pretty sure the boy name is locked down. We're having trouble with the girl name though. We really like Carina, but I'm not sure about the spelling. We want it pronounced kah-rin-a NOT kah-reen-a. Just wondering if there are any ideas on what to do or different spellings I should try?? What do you think?

To get that pronunciation, I would spell it Carinna or Corinna.

The name is NMS, I would prefer Corinne.

FYI: Carina is also the name of a publisher. It's also pronounced the way you don't want it pronounced.

i love corrina, but i think no matter how you spell it some people will still pronounce it the same way.

I wouldn't do Corrina...I pronounce that Cor-eena like the movie with Whoopi Goldberg.  I would do Carinna...I think you will still have pronunication problems.

The only spellings I would pronounce correctly would be Carinna or Caryna. The Y tends to be more of an automatic "ih" instead if "ee". That may just be me though, since I know people named Laryn (La-rynn) and Maryn (Ma-rynn). 

But I do think Carinna is much prettier.

Carina (kah-rine-ah) - like the bifurcation of the trachea?  Just be sure she won't study any form of biology.

Congrats!  I would probably spell it Carinna.  However, you'll always have some people mispronouncing it no matter the spelling you use.

. I like it to, but I have an aunt Corene I think that would be too close. Our boy name will be some form of Wes. Wesley or Weston.

I would use two Ns.  I feel like that helps shorten the long E sound.
