Formula in mail.

So the other day I received a package from similac with two formulas, a bottle and 4 check coupons.

About two weeks ago i receieved a box from Gerber with two formulas and two check coupons.

I receieved two more check coupons in the mail from gerber today. With odd denominations,  10.95 & 3.95. The envelope was the same that was in the gerber package.

 

Anyone else receive these & plan on using them? I guess I'm just a little worried about using them lol!

I got stuff like that last pregnancy. I breasted so I donated all of it to a local womens shelter.

Why would you be nervous about it?

I know many people who use them and trade the ones that they don't use for the ones they need.   The cashier will run it like a check during payment, but before you pay.  I BF DD, but gave the ones I had to friends who needed them.

I don't know. I guess I think 'what if it isn't from them?, is it safe? are the coupons legit?' stuff like that.

Did you sign up with the companies? You may have signed up other places that caused them to send you samples too.

I wouldn't worry about it, they make their money doing that and enticing you.

A lot of those companies get your address from your baby registry, hospital, etc.. Perfectly safe if you do plan on using them. If not, find a friend or donate to the shelter.

If you don't use the formula checks, you could always leave them in the formula section of your grocery, that's what I did.

I got them with my first pregnancy, and have received something from similac so far this time.  As PP said, they are safe to use, and if you don't want them you can always give them away to someone else.

I just received a whole whack of samples in the mail. It turns out that when DH and I signed up for our prenatal classes they released our information for samples and such. We were not impressed, but what are you going to do? We will be giving them to my SIL as she formula feeds (we are planning on exclusively breast feeding).

Like PP's said, they are safe and come from the manufacturer. When I started supplementing DS I used the formula checks with coupons for super savings! I also used the samples Similac sent us. If you don't want them, donate them or you could even give them away or swap them here on the Swap Spot board. I'd swap all the time so I could get the checks I needed :]

I was unable to breastfeed successfully, those sample were great to have on hand.  I only used the Enfamil (newborn) ones and I donated the other brands to a shelter for women and kids.

I received similar things with my 1st pg, and I saved them for when I started supplementing around 8 or 9 months.  I bf up until then but I was working FT and my supply was dropping so I ended up using the free stuff I had!

Keep them for if you need them in a pinch. Donate them if you don't use them and they haven't expired.
