Easy method

Talk to me about the EASY method. I get that baby eats, activity, sleeps. We're working on getting my 6.5week old on that schedule. She sleeps a lot during the day but only in our arms. Any tips to get her to sleep in her swing or rnp? Or maybe that just takes time, as we're only on day 2 of the schedule and day 1 didn't really go as planned

I should mention at night she sleeps good in her rnp in our room. ive tried that during the day with no luck...

I would also like to hear some tips, advice or info about this method. I understand eat, activity, sleep but there has to be more to it if there is a whole book about it.

I'm not sure how to help with the napping. My dd takes all of her naps in the swing and sleeps at night in the pnp. I am starting to notice she will not fall asleep unless she is in the swing or being held and rocked. But I can manage to lay her down at night when she is sleepy in the pnp and that is ok.

This is my LO, exactly. Lol not exactly trying the easy method but would like some kind of schedule during the day. I did manage to get her to sleep, swaddled, for about 30 min in her crib yesterday after some fussing. And 30 min in the RNP today. I think it's just a matter of trying different things and finding what works.

I'll be curious to hear what others have to say!

I'm not sure about the Easy Method but our LO sleeps in the RnP at night in our room as well and naps during the day have been a struggle. She wants to sleep on me, not in the RnP or in the swing. I have been feeding, burping and then playing with her or tummy time if she's awake. If she's zonked, I let her sleep on me for a bit and then move her to the crib. The crib has been a challenge since she hates lying flat. I wanted to get her used to this though so the transition to daycare is easier for her. I put a heating pad on medium in her crib and cover it with a shirt I wore overnight. Before I lay her down I remove the heating pad and leave the shirt. I check her obsessively and so far today she's done much better. I plan on sleeping with the crib sheet tonight so it smells like me and so I don't have to lay her on a shirt. I'm not sure if it's the heating pad or the shirt that's helping today but so far I can get her down for 20-30 minutes at a time whereas yesterday it was 5 minutes and screaming. I've also noticed that recently she's very sensitive to stimuli so I keep the tv down and downloaded some white noise tracks on iTunes that I play in her room. Good luck!
