Great sperm race

Hi ladies....

Started to watch it last night. Only got through half so will watch the rest tomorrow.

 Anyone else watching it? I was watching it with my husband and both of us were amazed. I really think he understands more than he ever did with me reading him random pages from my ttc books!

Hoping the rest of the movie might answer some questions etc...

 Anyone have any input on the following:

1) best position to up the chances of getting a BFP? or is there no such thing.. does it actually matter how deep he is? i'd assume not since we all know that "pulling out" isn't an effective method so some sperm must succeed even without being deep inside..

2) Anyone else get a cold/stuffed during their fertile week. the last few month i've been getting stuffed for a few days around O time. This month seems to be a bit worse (sore throat) but it seems to always come around this time.

1.  Any position where he ejaculates inside of you is a good position.

2.  I've never heard of that before.  Personally, I've been stuffy because it's cold and flu season.  It just happened to occur during my FW this month.  It happened during my FW one cycle during 2011's cold and flu season as well.  And I've been sick at other times, too.  So... no, I personally don't think that there's any sort of correlation.

Getting stuffed around O time will definitely increase your chances of getting KU, regardless of position ;)

Watched the first half with my dh last night...lol all he got out of it was that we need to have "gourmet sex" haha

Any position for sex should be good if the sperm gets in!

And I don't know anything about O causing cold symptoms, might just be a coincidence because it is the season of colds!

This seriously made me giggle.
OP, I get what you were saying. Some women do get weird symptoms during O. I think any position that allows you to be "stuffed" with peen will work. GL!

DH and I also watched it last night - very enlightening!

I've gotten a sore throat the past 3 months during O time, but I chalk it up to coincidence.

I've read some things that do suggest certain positions help - but I think it's a load of B.S. Sex is sex.

We watched it yesterday. It made a huge difference. From what I've read...there is not enough evidence to fully support deep penetrating positions doggy style, missionary with ladies hips up,etc.. but they do deposit the sperm closer to the cervix. Its really whatever you prefer. We are TTC2 on a very short timeline and the great sperm race was definitely a good watch and we had an unplanned romp to boot!! :

I do find that my nose runs more frequently during my FW. I attributed it to mucus loosening up in general from the estrogen. I don't know if that's actually true but it does tend to coincide with when I get EW.

I do know that it's common to feel more stuffed up during the 2WW because of the progesterone.
