Elevated BP and some Protein already?

So I'm trying not to freak out and I have a Dr's apptment tomorrow. However, my last OB appointment two weeks ago, I had elevated BP.  I've been checking it regularly as with DS, I had PIH (pregnancy induced hypertension) with protein being thrown at the very end of the experience and an induction to avoid Pre-E at 39 weeks. I normally am about 117-120 over 75-80.  The last two weeks, I've been hovering between 126-132 over 80-84.

Last week, I did all my labs and they checked my urine and I just saw the results and apparently I had elevated protein, above the normal level, in that too.  It was a 10 and the normal range is 9 or less, so nothing hugely horrible but seems a little early for that too.  I'm only 12 weeks so my mind is jumping to all the terrible things that could go wrong.

Anyone else have this happen?

Do you have any other medical conditions such as diabetes?

With my first, my BP was slightly elevated through first tri.  My doc said it was fine but the nurse would always say it was high.  It eventually evened out.  They had me do a 24 hour urine test and that came out normal.  Have they talked about that yet?

I hope you get everything straightened out.  Good luck!

I just took the glucose test last week because of family history of diabetes and I passed that with no issue thank goodness.  I will do another one in second tri.  I go tomorrow where I assume we will trouble shoot this but seeing the protein really freaked me out.  I assumed the BP was due to holiday stress or something.
Sad

I had the same issues with my DS, I was induced at 38.5 weeks due to high BP and higher than normal protein. I have not had my first prenatal visit for #2 (not until monday). I am only 8 weeks but I understand the worries. All I can say is stay calm as we know that the higher your BP the more those doctors frown. I do know that my protein was slightly higher at the end of my 2nd trimester and I had to do the urine tests once a week for 12 weeks and it would be the same amount of protein for weeks and then go up slightly and not until the end did it become an issue to induce. So hang in there and make sure to pay attention to your body and do what the doctors advise, I hope this turns out well for you, let us know how things go. I will come back and let you know if I end up with any protein after my first appt on monday!

Same boat as you but 13 weeks and BP 130/86 most of the time and little protein, but doctor just having me monitor BP at home and chart it.  If it is elevated supposed to lay on left side for 30 minutes and retake it.  So far that seems to be working.  The protein the DR. is just checking monthly now because it is only slightly increased.  Just try and remain calm.  It cause your BP to go up if you stress.  I hope you don't develop pre e.  Good Luck and I hope you have a healthy 9months.

My BP shot up suddenly during 1st tri. I ended up on labetalol(sp) for a few weeks until around the time I hit 2nd tri my BP went suddenly too low.  They took me off the meds and it went back to normal, has been normal since. So...they don't know why it happened, the best answer I have so far is it was my body's reaction to getting pregnant.
