You don't have to do the temping and all that stuff if it's too daunting. People get pregnant every day without it, especially if you're having sex at least every other day. Your chances of conceiving would be as good as anyone else who is TTC with OPKs and temping. However, if your cycle is irregular, or you wanted to know how long your leuteal phase is, temping can give you that information. If there is a problem, by charting you will be able to narrow in on what could be the potential problem. Unless you already have known fertility issues, my advice would be to just have fun and hump like rabbits for the first couple months TTC. If it hasn't happened, then you can start temping to see if you're missing your fertile window or if there's another potential problem.
