Anyone else with horrible hip pain and pressure?

I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow and the past week or two, I have started to have the worst hip pain. It hurts in my outer hips and my inner thighs/groin. I don't remember it happening this early last time. The intense pressure has started in the past week. I am trying to balance being on my feet and relaxing but as soon as I stand up, it almost feels like he's going to fall out of me. There's so much pressure (almost like bearing down feeling) and the hip pain is excruciating. I definitely have a nice waddle going on..

Anyone else going through this? Have you found anything that helps.

I have been since about 30 weeks as well. Its your hips spreading as (I think this is the name of it) the flexitol (might be flexitrol) in your system starts to get your body ready for birth. The baby is growing super fast right now so your going to have that bearing down pressure from here on out. It gets worse when they drop.

If the pain is more in your groin and lower butt, its probably the baby sitting on your sciatic nerve which starts around this time as well. The joys of late pregnancy right? lol

It feels like my pelvis is broken! I am waddling around too. I did a bunch of squats the other day, so I thought that might be contributing to the soreness, but I think it's mostly hips spreading.

I am right there with you. Has been getting more intense over the past week or so, and today I got a couple shooting pains that I'm guessing is "lightening crotch." Awesome.

Luckily I have an appointment on Friday and will get to chat with my OB about it. It is all super uncomfortable (and I've had to stop in my tracks to say OWWWWW too! lol) but I'm hoping she stays put until I'm closer to 40 weeks!

I have an appt with my OB tomorrow so I plan on mentioning it. I am feeling pain kind of all over, on my outer hips, inner thighs, groin and under my butt so maybe it's sciatic and maybe it's just him getting ready. He's definitely moved from breech to head down b/c I distinctly feel his hiccups underneath my belly and they used to be up on the top of my belly. He was breech at my 3D ultrasound and he was kicking himself in the face. Either way I'm having a scheduled c/s so I wasn't concerned about that anyway. Maybe just the change in positions put extra pressure on my hips.

It actually sounds more like he may have dropped already. Your baby can drop early and still stay put for weeks so its not a huge concern. Just be careful to not do too much that might set off labor early. I've heard they can even engage and disengage for weeks before labor. For sure mention it at your next appointment. They should be able to feel your belly and tell how far down baby is or they may opt for an internal exam to check you out.

I have had this since 25 weeks at least and it is just getting worse. I'll sleep on one side and switch because of the pain. Then the other side will get it. I have found a way to lean over the arm of the couch and with pillows sleep leaning slightly on my stomach. It isn't the easiest but it helps me get a few more hours sleep.
