Wait until she's fully awake?

When your LOs are doing that half awake, half asleep fussy thing, do you wait until they're fully awake to check diapers and do a feeding? Or do you take care of the things while they're still half asleep? DD has been making fussy noises and little crying sounds for about 20 minutes now, but she's only opened her eyes once, and I'm not sure if it makes more sense to wait and let her wake up on her own or just get her up now. None of her noises have been those "feed/change me NOW!" noises, otherwise I wouldn't be curious.

Thanks!

If I know it's a dirty diaper and not just wet, I wake to change.  If I'm pretty sure it's just wet, I let them sleep until they wake.

Is it during the day or at night? Is it keeping you awake?

I "dream fed" DD at night, so I'd get her and feed her when she started moving around and then she would sleep through her feed and stay asleep. During the day I waited until she woke right up.

I don't wait till DD is fully awake to feed her at night. During the day it just depends what I'm doing at the moment on whether I can get her right away.

I have this question as well, mostly about feeding though. I find that when he is not fully awake, the feedings don't go as well and he just drifts off after a couple of minutes. If I wait till he's more awake he eats better and longer. I know in the beginning my pedi said to wake him every 2 hours but now that he's back to his birth weight (and is a huge baby!) that I don't need to wake him unless it got to be 4 hours.

This. If I hear or smell anything, I'll change her.

This. If she's smacking her lips but not really hungry, I'll give her the binkie too.

Usually little guy fusses like that when he is hungry. We change diapers and the feed at that time. If we don't he screams once fully awake.
