CH question

So, I was horrible at temping this month, so I understand maybe FF does not have enough baseline temps (someone said 3 high temps after previous 6?)..

I put some dummy temperatures in and turned off O based on OPK... and I went an entire week out with high temps and still did not get CH. I even filled in some previous to "O" temps to see if that helped. Nope.

Lord, what does it take to get CH? LOL.

No, not at all.. just trying to get an idea of when FF usually puts CH- is there a formula or go-to system?

You need three temps that are a certain amount (I can't remember what it was, maybe 0.5 of a degree) higher than three temps consecutively previous to the rise.

So you're only looking at about 6 temps total.  Feel free to take a look at my charts to see where the CHs where placed.  :)

ETA:  In both October 2012 cycles, I stopped temping after I got CHs.

I second the chart stalk. I want to look but there is no link! 

FF puts in CH when there are three temps. One of the methods that play into the FF algorithm is the FAM method, which is three temps above the previous 6. So that could be holding you back a bit. The other methods are things like opks, ewcm, etc.

When I looked at it you had it set to OPK for detecting O. I know in your OP you said you turned that off but make sure that when you do that you have it set to advanced. Double and triple check your settings. 
This cycle I tried to switch detection methods and ended up having it set to user override with no O detected. I had put in quite a few dummy temps and couldn't figure out why no CHs either before figuring that out.

Oops, sorry I didn't clarify, when putting in dummy temperatures did nothing,  I set it back to OPK.

As I said above, fo sho. But even putting in dummy temperatures did nothing, this my confusion. FF is probably just on to me. ;)
