Failed my glucose test :(

They said my blood sugar should be below 135 and it was 166...now I have to take the 3 hr one :(

Prepare for a lot of lab draws, I didn't know that till I got there that I would have 4 lab draws. Like one of the ladies said bring a book.

I failed my 1 hour with a 168 but passed my 3 hour with flying colors! Actually my 1 hour number after double the amount of glucose drink was even under the acceptable number for the one hour test, kind of crazy! Stay positive!

You'll be fine. I failed my one hour test and a few days later went and took my three hour test and passed it.  just make sure to watch what you eat the day before and then fast for 12 hours before having the test.

I just went through this this week. I failed my 1 hr with170. The 3 hr is a long process. You will have to fast for 10at least they told me 10hrshrs. They will draw your first fasting blood. It should be less than 95. If that number is ok then you will drink the glucose and wait 1 hr. they will draw your 1 hr bloodshould be less than 180. Then you wait another hr they draw 2nd hr bloodshould be less than 155 wait another hr then they take the last blood drawshould be less than 140. I had 2 numbers high meaning I failed. I have to go to a diabetic counselor and get a diet plan and will have to check my sugar daily. Also have non stress tests done every week to make sure the baby is doin ok with it. Now this would be worse case if u fail the 3 hr. Not too bad just a process. Most likely it goes away after childbirth. Good luck

Yeah, bring something to distract you while you wait. I failed my 1 hr and 3 of the 4 draws during the 3 hr (thus I have GD) it's not too bad. But chances are you'll be okay. Good luck!
