High hgc levels

Just got betas back and hcg was 33000 at 5w4d, which doc said was higher than normal. Has anyone else experienced this high of a level so early on? Twins? Molar? Help!

BFP #1 6/23/12, MMC at 8w2d, D&C 8/19/12 BFP #2 10/17/12, CP 11/1/12 BFP #3 12/26/2012, hoping for baby #1! BabyFruit Ticker

I didn't have high levels then but a bit later (around 7 weeks, mine was over 164,000). My doctor mentioned that he suspected twins or that I was a bit further along. We did an u/s and there was only one and everything looked good. My understanding is that it really means nothing then, besides that the pregnancy is more likely to stick and that I am miserable ;-) At least that s what my doctor said. He didn't mention any other risks or concerns.

With my son my levels were 43,000 at 5w5d

I have high levels.  At 7w5d it was over 150,000. At 8w2d it was over 230,000.  I was hospitalized for HG because the high levels were making me so sick that I could even keep water down.  They did an u/s to check for multiples or a molar pregnancy but everything looked fine (except small hematoma). Only one baby.

I really don't have any answers but I admit the high levels concern me a little bit.
