am I alone?!?

my 8 week old EBF LO is still waking every two hours to eat. I feel like she should be having longer stretches by now. is there any others out there in the same position? she sleeps swaddled in a cosleeper next to my bed

Uh just lurking because my daughter is 5 months old... still wakes every two hours. Sometimes I get lucky with a long stretch and only feed her once or twice at night though..

You aren't alone. My 8wk old is 100 nocturnal. It is 4am and I expect we won't sleep till about 7am and only for a couple of hours : I do everything they say to do, bassinet, swaddle, bedtime ritual, dark room, white noise, etc. He is mostly breast fed and some formula. He won't go to sleep for longer than an hour at a time. I have even tried cosleeping. He will 'sleep' in my arms but wakes up a few mins after I put him down. It was suggested that I get him in the sunshine but we live in Wa so it is cold, dark, and rainy right now. They say to sleep when he does during the day but even then he doesn't sleep very long. I am seriously sleep deprived : So after all of my venting, sorry about that but I am desperate, you are not alone. They say it will get better so hang in there :

DS didn't sleep longer stretches until 6 months. With DD it varies anywhere from 2-5 hour stretches and she will only sleep in a swing which bugs me.

Sorry to tell you it may stay that way for quite a while :(  Unfortunately it takes a few months for their tummies to get bigger so they can last longer.

I was just about to write this same post. It really does help to know you aren't alone. DS1 started STTN at 6 weeks and I haven't gotten a stretch longer than 4 hours since week 2 with DS2. Hang in there, I heard something the other day that does help, "The days may be long but the years are short." Eventually our LOs will get there.
