Where did you buy your dopplar?

Hi ladies-

I'm still in the 2nd trimester, but am interested in buying a heart rate doppler. If you own one, where did you buy yours & how much did it cost? Which one would you recommend?

Thanks!

"You buy furniture. You tell yourself, this is the last sofa I will ever need in my life. Buy the sofa, then for a couple years you're satisfied that no matter what goes wrong, at least you've got your sofa issue handled. Then the right set of dishes. Then the perfect bed. The drapes. The rug. Then you're trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you. We have the Hi BeBe doppler. It's 3Mhz. I believe it was roughly $100 (on sale at the time) and we used it pretty frequently. I liked it a lot but once I started feeling movement, I didn't use it again. I can't even tell you where it is right now... in a box somewhere, probably.

IMO, if you're in your 2nd tri, it's kind of pointless.

Agreed.  If you're 17 weeks, it won't be long before you start feeling movement, so you'll know baby is probably okay in there.

Ok! Thank you! I was kinda thinking the same thing- I'm just not feeling movement yet, which I know is normal, but I'm always worried! Thanks for the advice- I'll save the money & put it toward something else Smile

Fyi, I never used mine after about 22 weeks - I could feel the baby kick at least once every day by then, even if I had to make an effort. And by 25 weeks baby moved so regularly that it was completely superfluous. I loaned mine to a friend weeks ago now and haven't missed it.

I purchased mine in the first trimester, very early on, and used it until I could feel movement. After around 15/16 weeks when movement started to become more evident, I stopped using it, and haven't used it in a few months now. I got mine from a Canadian website but unfortunately can't remember the name of it :(

If you have a smart phone I would HIGHLY recommend getting the $5 app called Babyscope. It's worked for me since I got it at 24ish weeks. You just need headphones and it uses your phone's microphone.
