37.5 wks 2 cm dilated 85-90% effaced anyone else?

Just wondering if there is anyone else who is experiencing this? I feel as if everyday is a waiting game to when she is coming out, bad lower back pains, cramps and sharp pains in my vagina, I feel as if she's just going to fall out...anyone else?

I feel your pain! At my 38 week appt yesterday, I was 3 cm, 80% effaced. Having sporadic contractions, but nothing close enough together or painful enough. I hear you on the vagina pain, though. Baby girl is constantly head-butting my cervix. It stops me in my tracks it hurts so much!!! 

Here's hoping these babies come soon for both of us!!

I had my appt on Monday and I was 2 cm dilated and she told me I was very soft so I never got a effaced %. I have the pain that makes me stop in my tracks as well!! I'm so glad to hear this is happening to someone else. I hope by next week this happens since its the second baby!! Cross my fingers!

yep, I'm 2cm 80% at 36w6d.  I'm not getting my hopes up, though, I've known women who have been 2 cm at 37 weeks and been induced at 42 weeks :-/

I am 37 weeks, 2 cm, and 100% effaced, but I have the same perspective. He'll arrive when he is ready. :-)

Yup, I am 36 weeks and 3 cm dialated and about 40% effaced.  My little gal is in the 0 head position so she is right there in my pelvis engaged.  My Midwife said that she can safely say I won't be induced with this one!

Not to be a debbie downer but with my first, I was 5cm dialated for over a week before I went into labor (40w, 3d). I was 2cm around 37 weeks and progressed each week.

After laboring for 5 hours at home I got to the hospital and was only 6cm dialated. I don't think dilation or % effaced necessarily indicates when you will deliever.

When I went into my Dr office on Monday, I was 4 cm dilated and 70 % effaced. My first son, I found out at 37 weeks that i was 2 cm and 70% and he was born at 38 weeks. So I feel like I will be disappointed tomorrow when I get to 38 weeks and this baby Is so cozy in my belly. I feel like I'm going to go past my due date with this one.

Deffanitly glad I'm not alone on this, although my doc seems to think I won't make it till my due date on the 26, but I guess she will come when she is ready :)

At my 35 week appointment this week, I was 2 cm dilated and 80percent effaced. LO had a big growth spurt and my fundal height increased by 3cm in one week. My doctor said it means labor could be near but also weeks away.

I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Yep... 38 weeks today and I've felt the same way since about Christmas.  3cm and 50% effaced, baby's head is engaged and ready to go as of Tuesday's doctor appointment.  I am super crampy all day when I'm on my feet (I'm teaching until 1/18 as long as I make it that long), but the cramps lessen when I relax on the couch after DD goes to sleep.
