disapointed

After a long 41 day cycle AF came.. it sucks, im sad and disappointed. Now i have no idea when i will ovulate, do i go by this last long cycle or the kinda normal 29-31 day cycles ive been having. Or do we just try the every other day approach and wait and see what happens?

If you are not planning on temping and/or OPKs, EOD will cover you.

I have the occasional long cycle, but I always assume when OPK that I'll have a normal cycle and start OPKing around CD17 (I O around CD22-24), but if I don't have a +OPK by CD30 I will wait for awhile and see if I start to get good CM and then I'll start OPKing again.

Do you chart your BBT?  Do you take OPKs?  Do you keep track of your CM?

If I were you, I'd temp, do OPKs, and check CM to get a picture of when my FW would be.

Sex EOD doesn't hurt, either.  ;)

I do Chart my BBT, i never really see that big of a spike, when i look at my graph its always about the same, maybe a point of a degree higher. I didnt use a OPK last time. I should go get one.. does anyone have a fav. brand that they like to use?

Don't just get one. I use about 20 per cycle, so I use really cheap Wondfos that I buy on amazon.

Tracking your BBT will help you so much with timing. It really is worth the effort. Good luck!

ETA: I really should read the thread before posting! Sorry, OP! I think that if you're up for the EOD approach, it might be worthwhile!

Do you use a BBT thermometer or a regular thermometer?

Depending on how much of a shift you get, it could, as it measures to the .00 instead of just .0

It only matters if you're unable to see a shift.

There are some BBTs that measure to the .00 and some that measure to the .0 - it's not the degree to which they show, it's the degree to which they round.  BBTs can be a little more precise than regular thermometers.

If you're unable to see a shift in temperatures this cycle, then I would recommend investing in a BBT.

Also with temping, some women have more success with seeing a definite shift by temping vaginally. May help if you're a mouth breather.
