Restless sleep

DD 6.5weeks just can't seem to fall into a deep sleep lately. She went thru her growth spurt last week so it's not that. I've been working on getting her into the EASY routine. She'll nurse and then be awake for 45min and then start to fuss so I'll rock her to sleep. She falls asleep but every 5 min or so she'll awake fussing or moving or grunting or something. If I ever try to lay her down she's awake within 10 min. At first I just thought maybe she was still hungry but she never wants to eat if I offer her the boob again. When she's awake she super happy and content.... Any tips or advice? I'm at a loss...

My daughter does the exact same thing. She has to be swaddled and not lying flat for her to get any decent sleep.

Have you tried shaking her ?

I kid, I kid . . .

Is she sleeping in your bed? If not, I'd leave her be while she's just moving and grunting. Ours is going through that now where he'll grunt and fuss for about 10 minutes, then back to sleep.

O/T, your belly pic is beyond adorable :-)

My LO does this sometimes, yet he's 9 weeks old. He could be in a deep sleep and when you put him down he wakes up immediately. What we did was just leave him grunting, making noises, at some point he will become tired and just go down on his own. Ours does this when he isn't comfortable in his position, he'll keep moving around until he's comfy, I also noticed a change when his mattress was raised 30 degrees (he doesn't have reflux, but we found it help him sleep better).

DS was doing this every. single. day. for about 2wks recently (he's now 9 w).  It drove me crazy cuz he wasn't getting enough rest and he'd be fussy all. day. long.

Took me forever to decipher his problem... 1) he wasn't always swaddle; he'd wake himself up (but you said your DD is swaddled), and

2) He has a gas bubble that didn't come up w/burping.  The gas bubble makes him uncomfortable so he'd semi-wake and grunt/fuss/wriggle.  It's also worse when he is flat.  So nowadays I try to burp him as best I could, and if I see him doing this waking thing every 5 minutes, I'll pick him up and burp him again.  usually I can get a big burp with 1 or 2 tries, and then he'll be able to go into deep sleep for 2 hours.  GL!
