Is it just me that feels this way...,I have about 11 weeks left, I haven't prepared anything...the room is still a guest room...and I don't feel or want to get ready...lol..Its not like I'm not excited, I am...I just think I already have all I need besides diapers, since I'm having another boy and I know what to expect...I know he doesn't need his room to be done ASAP....and I don't have the time in my hands that I did the first time around....anyone else?

Lilypie Pregnancy tickers After years of struggling with infertility issues (PCOS since I was 16) and 15 medicated cycles we finally got blessed with our son. It defintely took longer for me to get my butt into gear this time.  I know what you mean - you're excited but it's not quite the same as with the first because you've been there done that already.  I don't have any concerns of preterm labor so I figured I could take my time. DS came at 40 wks, 2 days so I was well-prepared waaay early last time.  We probably got the room all ready and clothes washed, crib setup, etc around 33-34 weeks this time, which defintely isn't last minute but later than last time.  We still have a few little to-do's left but I feel pretty prepared now.  You'll come around to doing stuff in the next few weeks probably.  Smile

I felt like I was more behind, but then I looked back at my timeline for DS, and I'm right where I was with him, preparation wise. We painted the nursery this week with the help of my MIL, and will probably have the furniture finalized this weekend. It's coming along, even though I know this time around we won't NEED it to be finalized when DD gets here. But I hate thinking about trying to finish things with a newborn, and I'll be glad to get it all done and over with!

My husband still has yet to raise the crib mattress from when DD used to sleep in it. So bedding has yet to be put out. No decor on the walls. But at least they are painted?

I finally bought a keepsake book today. Small steps haha

The only thing I've done is gotten a new infant carseat since mine is expiring. I kept thinking I had plenty of time. Now I'm on bedrest for pre-eclampsia and looking at a potentially early delivery, so DH is going to have to scramble, whoops lol!

I'm in the same boat.  We are having our 2nd boy so we moved DS1 into his big boy room that used to be the guest room months ago and then ceased being productive.  The nursery was done neutral to begin with so we could just keep re-using it.  I need to wash clothes, pack my bag, install the baby base, get the swing out, little things that I keep putting off.   My IL's were cool and got the baby a box of diapers, a package of pacis, and some bottle nipples for Christmas so that's at least a couple things of my to-do list.

I haven't cleared the space for the Pnp or packed my bag. My dr has been telling me with twins it can be anytime but I figure it'll get taken care of.

In the boat "I've done almost nothing".  The nursery isn't ready, I have no small diapers, and I just started buying a few boy outfits.  I guess I'm still in denial that this is happening so quickly.  That, plus working full time and chasing after the toddler.

Yeah we don't have much really to "do" other than figure out exactly what stroller combo we're going with (DD#1 isn't a fan of strollers but I will need her to comply since she isn't great at listening/walking with me and prefers to be carried and I'm not gonna do that with an infant and carry a 2 1/2 year old) and move DD#1's car seat to the side/install DD#2's seat.  We also need to fish the bassinet out of the garage and wash some baby clothes.  I figure I'll get on that in about a month but honestly our place is so small that putting a bassinet up early sounds like a pain in the bum.

I'd say the new nursery is 80% done. It needs curtains, a bigger rug and something on the walls. I'm not really in any rush to finish. His crib is ready and so is the RnP.

I haven't done or bought anything.  DS#1 is getting our old office which my husband is currently painting so the new baby will get DS#1's old room.  Crib might be up before it gets here or might not :)   New babies just need the basics anyway!

Yep.  We really just started preparing this past week and still have a lot to do.  I'm having a girl this time and already have a boy so there are definitely some things I need to get but just don't seem to be in any rush. :)  I went into labor on my due date with my son, so for some reason I'm just assuming I won't be going early with this one either.

I haven't done anything. I don't feel the pressure I guess this time. Mostly because we don't have a space to turn into a nursery until we move into our new house in May. I do have to start my CD stash but haven't even started investigated it. Gah!

You still have tonnes of time!! I am 34 weeks and just got the crib together. Still need to clean the car and install the car seat. Have just finished sterilizing all the bottles. I did just get the clothes all washed and sorted 2 days ago. And just getting my hospital list together. But 2nd time around, I am actually ahead of myself than was with DD1. I only had the bassinet ready for her and a couple of outfits washed. Car seat wasn't even installed until they released me 3 days later!

Just thinking about this today.  DS is still in his crib in the room that is supposed to be turned into a nursery for a girl.  I have yet to get his new room ready, which needs to be done so we can reconfigure the nursery.  We should also get him out of his crib at some point, but it contains him so well!  I guess I now realize that newborns need very little.  In fact DS slept in a bassinet in our room for the first three months, so I just tacked three more months onto my timeline to get things done :-)
