Knock, knock.

I'm back. :(

IVF #2 took us farther than we've ever been and we experienced a lot of firsts. First BFP, first pregnancy with heartbeats and then our first miscarriage. I was carrying identical twins, but at the 2nd u/s their hearts stopped beating. That awful day was Wednesday, we had a D&C yesterday and now here I am back at square one trying to figure out how to get back to that happy pregnant place. 

Anyway, I'll be cheering on the Bunnies and the Hopefuls as I sit here on the infertility bench trying to weed through my thoughts and wait for our D&C results to come back so we can have a WTF with our RE.

So sorry for your loss, as well. Well, I was wondering how long it would take for AF to arrive after the D&C....ugh. I hope she comes soon for you! Are you still having to go in for betas to see them drop? I go in next Friday, but was not given further instructions for what's after that.

Me (33)- unexplained MH (35)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist = BFN c/p, poor quality blasts, tested sperm dna fragmentation. Results all good, yay! New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS 4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice Everyone Welcome!!!

DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
Me (32): all clear
Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test :(
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found :(
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!
FET 11/17/12: transferred 2, one 4B, one 4C. Beta 11/30:BFFN
moving on to DS
DIUI#1 2/18/13,50mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta 3/4/13: BFN.
DIUI#2 3/19/13, 50 mg Clomid cd 3-7, Ovidrel trigger, Beta #1 (14dpiui) 4/2/13: BFP!!!! 150. Beta #2 4/4/13: 420 Beta #3 4/8/13: 2691. Beta #4 4/15/13: 15,086
1st u/s 4/8/13 shows one gestational sac
2nd u/s 4/15/13 shows yolk sac, fetal pole and early heartbeat
3rd u/s 4/25/13: measuring right on track. Heart rate 148 bpm

 My RE told me to expect AF 4-6 weeks after the D&C.  Today is exactly 6 weeks and nada.  I did have a lot of spotting since the D&C so I don't know.  I went in for betas every other week.  Last beta was 12/31 and it was 34.  I go for my next beta on Monday.  I am hoping that it will be zero as I want to get the RPL panel and immune testing done.  I am hoping AF will show up soon.

So sorry!!  This is about what happened with me.  Made it up until the 2nd ultrasound when the heart beat we saw at the previous appointment was no longer.  It is truly heartbreaking.  Take some time to process - I know I have needed it!  And good news - you did get pregnant!  Next time it'll stick for the whole 9 months - FX!!!!
My TTC Journey:
Dx: Hypothalamic amenorrhea
Progesterone to induce period w/ the goal of Clomid - never got period (September 2011). RE referral.
Femera - never responded to the meds (December 2011)
Clomid with TI - BFN (February 2012)
Injectables (Menopur) - hyperstimulated/canceled (March 2012)
Injectables #2 (Menopur) with TI- BFN (May 2012)
IVF - OHSS (transfer canceled), but 11 frozen! (June 1012)
FET - 1 transferred on 8/09/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 350.3; Beta#2: 365; Beta#3: 157. Biochemical pregnancy.
FET # 2 - 1 transferred on 11/01/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 337; Beta#2: 769. BFP!!! 1st ultrasound 11/28/12 showed heartbeat, but measuring 5 days behind. 2nd ultrasound 12/05/12 - miscarriage.
FET # 3 - 1 transferred on 1/24/13. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): BFN.
FET # 4 - 2 transferred on 3/28/13. Beta #1 (11dp5dt): 673; Beta #2: 1265. Just under 6 weeks - m/c at home. WTF appointment in late May.

Oct/Nov '12: Natural IUI#3 - functional cyst on right side = BFN
Nov/Dec '12: Natural IUI#4 = BFFN
Dec/Jan '12: 50 mg clomid + menopur + ovidrel + IUI#5 = BFN
Jan '13: 50 mg clomid + menopur + ovidrel + IUI#6 = BFFN
Tired of all this crap. Taking a break. Plan: hubby on 50 mg clomid to try to raise count. T levels have tripled! Repeat SA in March.

FSH: 9.5 at highest. AMH (11/2011): 0.9. AFC: 10ish. HSG: Normal. SA: Normal.
July 2011 - Feb. 2012: 2 Clomid/TI cycles; 3 injectables/IUI cycles. Good response but BFNs.
Dec. 2011: Laparoscopy (clear) + hysteroscopy to remove uterine polyp.

April 2012: IVF #1: FSH 9.2, AFC 7-8. Antagonist protocol.
Started stims (300iu Gonal-F, 150iu Menopur) 3/28.
Added ganirelix 4/1. Trigger 4/5 (7 follies). ER 4/7: 7R, 0M, 0F. :-(

Nov. 2012: IVF #2: Long Lupron protocol.
Started Lupron 10/27. AFC 10+. Started stims (300iu Follistim, 150iu Menopur) 11/8.
Trigger 11/18 (7 follies). ER 11/20: 9R, 1M, 1F. 3dt of my one 6-cell embie on 11/23: BFN.

Dec. 2012: Hail Mary IUI cycle with leftover IVF meds: BFN.

Feb. 2013: IVF #3: Estrogen priming protocol.
Pre-AF: estro patch + ganirelix. AFC 8-10. Started stims (450 Follistim, 150 Menopur) 1/28.
Added ganirelix 2/4. Combined Lupron/HCG trigger 2/10 (6-ish follies).
ET 2/12: 6R, 1M, 1F w/rescue ICSI. My embie didn't make it. :-(

12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
2/11/13 - Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts.

2/16/13 - First BFP of my life!
3/27/13 - No heartbeat at 9w0d. D&C the following day.

4/23/13 - Matched to adopt five new embryos!

I'm so sorry. I know that doesn't help or change anything, but I just want you to know that I know how you feel. I had a partial molar pregnancy (which included a heart beat) in March, 2012. That was the worst time of my life... Every day I think about it. Are you able to continue to try to conceive soon?

TTC SINCE 7/2010, BFP-10/2010 ended in miscarriage 11/2010 : (.....
Progesterone level 4/2011= 11.29. SA normal. HSG normal.
8/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 35,
10/11 Clomid 50mg =BFN progesterone level 31,
11/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 12,
12/11 Clomid 50mg=Progesterone 31
01/12-Break from meds-BFN
Feb-cd3 blood work FSH(5), AMH(0.56) 02/12 Break....
03/01/12-Clomid 50mg with IUI #1=BFN.
04/01/12-Another round of clomid with IUI#2=BFN.
5/8/12-Diagnostic Laparoscopy-found minimal endometriosis and small fibriod.
June and July-much needed break
August-Bravelle 75 with IUI#3- BFN
September-Bravelle injects with IUI #4-BFP!! M/C 10/7/12 : ( Sonohysterogram-Normal
December- Bravelle(3 good follicles & E2 1252) with IUI#5 BFFN :*( Currently on a break..deciding what to do next while trying to save money for another round of whatever we decide

TTC on and off since April 2007. IUI#1 (50mg Clomid + Trigger) 3/14. BFP 3/25 at 11dpo. No heartbeat at 8 weeks on 4/26, D&C 4/27. IUI #2 7/22 (50mg Clomid +Trigger)= CP. IUI #3 8/16 = BFN. IUI#4 9/14= BFN. IVF#1 started 10/31; cancelled 11/15. New clinic; 1st visit 12/26. IVF #1 (take 2) cancelled. IVF#1 (take 3)Feb. 2013! 2/9/13 ER = 25 eggs. 24 M/22F. 5dt (SET)2/14. 2/25= BFP! Beta 372!

So so very sorry to hear about the emotional rollercoaster you've been through.
TTC #1 since 2008. IUI #1: Clomid+trigger=BFN. IUIs #2-4: Femara+Follistim+trigger=BFNs.
IVF #1, Nov 2012: Bravelle+Menopur. 17R, 12M (all ICSIed), 6F. 5 day transfer of 2 embies=BFN. 2 embies frozen.
FET #1: started BCPs April 2013.

As for AF, it took me about a month after the D&C for that to arrive. I hope you get yours soon.


TTC #1 for about 3.5 years
ME: 37, PCO, immune issues?, teflon uterus (my added diagnosis)
HIM: 38, Perfect. (Showoff.)
Month before starting Clomid, spontaneous pregnancy. m/c at 7 weeks and D&C.
Four months of Clomid, one IUI, with Intralipid each cycle: BFNs all
IVF 1.0 July 2012 -- Lupron, bravelle, menopur, estrogen, progesterone supps, intralipid. 14 ER, 14 fertilized, 1 blast transferred, 2 on ice. BFN
FET 1.1 -- 10/2, transferred our 2 blasts. Lupron, PIO, estrogen, baby aspirin, prednisone. BFN.
IVF 2.0 December 2012 -- Bravelle, Menopur, Ganirelix, Prednisone, Metformin, estrogen, progesterone supps. 22 eggs retrieved on 12/14, 17 mature, 15 fertilized. OHSS anticipated so ET cancelled. 3 embryos frozen.
Broke up with old RE. Moving on to new dude. Maybe the change of scenery will be just the trick for our frosties. On BCPs for possible April FET.
