I have never heard of that brand either... I looked it up on consumer reports.  Although it is not the same model two other Aprica models have good reviews. :)  Hope that helps

How about the chicco strollers? I don't like the look as much but I wanted a trusted brand but not above our price range.

Aprica is owned by Graco. I believe the Aprica brand is used more in Asian markets but we also have some products here. It's a reputable brand and if you like it after testing it out, I'd go with it. Definitely try out a few different brands just in case you in end up finding something you like even better, too. I almost bought something that I thought was perfect and wound up giving a few other strollers a test run and wound up going with one that wasn't even on my radar.

Don't get a "travel system."  They are bulky and hard to maneuver.

Out of all the "travel systems" I've heard pretty consistently the chicco ones are pretty much junk. The car seats are great, the strollers notsomuch. Also I agree with pp travel systems are bulky and you will very likely find yourself looking for a smaller stroller soon after you realize what a pain it is to lug around. The baby jogger city mini is a great stroller that can accept several car seats and is much much more compact and better quality than most travel system strollers.

I think this is mostly true for the the less expensive travel systems. The Orbit travel system is sleek and very easy to maneuver, but it's not cheap..
