Where is the baby?

I will be 17 weeks next week and I think I am feeling those little "flutters" of the baby moving.  My question is this: where exactly should I feel these flutters?  High, low, somewhere in between?

I'm a little over 17 weeks & I feel it just above my pubic hair line (sorry, only way to explain it). I always imagined it would be higher than that (closer to my belly button) but all the movement I have tends to be lower! Isn't it the greatest feeling!?! Smile

I'm 20 weeks today and during the ultrasound yesterday, she is stretched pretty much from my hair line to my belly button. She's head down right now, so I'm feeling kicks close to my belly button. It all depends on what position your baby is in! Congrats, those flutters are the best!

Low, definitely below your belly button. I still feel most movements below my belly button with occasional ones at my belly button.

I was at 17  weeks and 3 days when I started to feel tiny thumps and taps on the left side of my belly next to my belly button. My baby boy loves to hang out at that side all the time. All I do is rub my belly, poke a bit and there he comes kicking away. It's mostly at night right before bed. Good luck!

It starts out very low... it was probably over a month before I started feeling movement higher up. The further along you get, the higher your uterus gets... as it gets higher, you're more likely to feel movement higher up. It also depends on the position of the baby... towards the very end of your pregnancy, if the baby gets into the head-down position (which he or she hopefully does), you will feel lots more kicks to the ribs! But in the beginning, it's all very low.

From the 1st time i started feeling him move it has always been very distince right almost inline with my belly button. At 17 weeks it seemed to be couple inches below it, but now at 20 weeks I can feel him right at it.
