Lots of spit up after formula

DS had jaundice and would never latch properly so I mostly FF, at least once a day he gets breast milk as I try and pump but am not producing enough to give him just that.

The last three days he has had some really bad spit ups. I know I'm burping him enough. I'm thinking of switching formula from Similac Advanced to Enfamil Infant. Any advice? We go to the doctor next on Wednesday for a check up.

My LO has a lactaid allergy, we switched her to a soy formula due to spit up incidents, and once we did she did a lot better. Maybe talk to your doc about possible allergies and trying a lactaid free formula..

My DS was 6 weeks early so I couldn't nurse for a while. I exclusively pumped for a while and tried to nurse when he was able. After two months my supply wasn't enough to keep up with him and he was too lazy/stubborn to nurse so we had to switch to formula.

We have been using Similac Advanced for just over a week now. I have noticed he spits up more also. His pediatrician said it could just be a part of him getting used to the transition between bm & formula. She said its important not to switch formulas a lot - keep LO on one kind for a while to give LO time to adjust.

How long has your LO been taking some formula? She may just need a chance to adapt.

He started on the Similac formula three days after he was born...so last Wednesday...before that he wasn't eating at all.

I would give it more time - that's not too long. Plus he's just gonna spit up - period. Def ask the doc at your appt though! Good luck!
