First IVF Injections today!! Excited and feel a little funky

So I started my period yesterday and went in today for ultrasound to check out my uterus. I had my medications shipped and they got here in the nick of time. Based on the ultrasound, we went ahead and did my first injections with my IVF coordinator today. Right now I'm on folistim and menapur. The shots didnt hurt! I was freaked out, but she did it for me for the first one and it really didnt hurt! So relieved. I have my first follow up Monday for blood work and another ultrasound....

Tonight I feel a little weird in my abdomen. Not sure if it's cramps since I"m still on my period, or if it's the medication...because it definitely doenst feel normal. Doesnt feel bad, but I guess I just feel aware of something going on down there. Did anyone else feel effects so quickly??  Anyway, I am really excited! The plan is to stim for 9 days and then hoping things are on track for an ET on the 21st..  Would love to hear from others, and good luck and baby dust to the other bumpies working on their babies!! :)
TTC since 11/11. 10 months natural= 10 BFN 8/12 First appt with RE 4 semen anaylsis later 1.9 million count, 21% motility and very poor morphology Me- bloodwork, 2 ultrasounds, HSG exam =I'm fine 3 months of testosterone treatments = 3 more BFN DH bkoodwork after 3 months treatment= no change RE says we can continue with hormone treatment for MIF, But says it could be year or more to see results that would even make us IUI candidates RE says we can try IUI but doesn't expect the results to be good based on severe MIF. 12/12 decide to move forward with IVF Started IVF Cycle #1 1/11/13

That's how my injects feel... just like something is happening / I'm aware of that part of my body. I started feeling bloated right around day 2. It was ridiculous. I still feel bloated but it surprisingly hasn't gotten too much worse. FX for you!

TTC #1 for Dh, #2 for me. HSG clear. Low AMH and endo. Multiple Clomid w/TI cycles - all BFNs. 2 IUIs with Clomid and 1 with Femara - more BFNs. IVF#1 25R, 15M, 15F. 5DT of two perfect 4AA blasts! Positive HPT at 5dp5dt. Beta #1 6dp5dt - 72. Beta #2 8dp5dt - 285. Beta #3 10dp5dt - 793. Both babies have strong beautiful heartbeats! Baby B miscarried at 7 weeks. Baby A is holding on through miscarrying her twin, sub-chorionic hematoma, and complete placenta previa. Stick, baby, stick!

Welcome! Congrats on starting things off. I also feel a little weird with the injections, ranging from headaches to vertigo to bloating to just feeling "off". Good luck to you! :)

I definitely felt different after the first couple of nights. After that I got used to it.   Kind of like a new "normal" . Good luck to you!

IVF 12-21-2012 - 2 I think perfect no matter what the dr graded them (2B)embryos transferred Beta on 12-31-12 Positve - Beta is 21
Beta 2 1-2-13 - 31
Beta 3 1-4-13 - 53
Beta 4 1/9 - 212!
Ultrasound 1/10 - Nothing completely empty uterus Beta 1/14 - 743; Beta 1/17 - 1704 ultrasound shows nothing. Officially a miscarriage. 1/21 Beta 3900 Dr. says it ectopic. Ultrasound shows a miracle heartbeat right in the uterus where it belongs! Dr. says I can be cautiously optomistic!!! Hang in there baby!

Thanks for the feedback ladies! Yeah it was hard to explain and I guess I was shocked to feel anything that soon...guess we know it's working!  I"m doing the injection myself tonight! EEK but I think it'll be ok, It didnt hurt, but was surprised to see a nice bruise show up from the one yesterday on my stomach.. not pretty..Thank God it's not bikini season! lol

 

 ALso...

Anyone know how to tell me how to get all the stuff in your signatures? LIke the dates, methods, kids ages, all the interesting stuff? I look and can't find it or I'm seriously overlooking it and not knowing it.

I am not tech-savvy, but what I do is:
click "mybump" in upper left of your page
click "sign in" and enter your sign-in info
In the upper left corner, under "mybump" click "edit my avatar & sig"
Scroll down to the "My Forums Signature" box
Type whatever you want in there. If you want to start a fresh line, enter "< br >" without the quotations or spaces after the last thing on the line before you want to move to the next line. Does that make sense?
When you're done, click "Save my Signature" in the grey box below.
To get the pictures, I always cut and paste the link from other people. Hope that helps! :)
