Ideas for Birthday gifts for a 1 year old girl

Hello All :) 

 

I have a 3 year old little boy and a soon to be 1 year old girl.  I am totally stuck on ideas of what to get her for her birthday.  Lots of the things I got for my DS-puzzles etc.. . . we still have.  We also did the Anywhere Pottery Barn chair for him but don't really have enough room for another one.  Ideas anyone?

DD's two favorite gifts from her first birthday are Violet (LeapFrog dog) and a play hut with a tunnel.

5/1/11 - BFP #3 - Pre-eclampsia, IUGR & bed rest from 32w. DD born via induction 1/4/12.

What about a Mozart magic cube? It's definitely on my list for DS birthday. Like PP, what about a crawl tunnel/tent/hut of some sort? A radio flyer covered wagon? What does your LO like as far as current toys?

This is more of sentimental gift than a functional gift but I bought DD a child-size charm bracelet that I'll add a charm to at each birthday.

I know you don't have too much room but girls always love kitchen sets, our friends DD has a little tea set too she loves.

Are you planning on going to the beach or gardening this spring and summer? If so, you could get a few children's gardening tools with a children's book about gardening, or a few beach toys with a book about going to the beach.
