Dentist anyone? :-)

A friend IRL told me that she has a friend who had trouble getting pregnant and after her husband got an infected tooth taken care of, BFP soon thereafter and it happened with the second pregnancy, too. That sounds likes an old wives tale/ coincidence but I was just curious if anyone else had heard something like that. Thoughts?

You seriously get more stupid with every post.

Here's an idea- maybe they should make more frequent dental visits.

It takes a long time for a tooth to get infected.  Sounds like he needs to go to the dentist more often.

That's what I said. I've heard a lot of silly things but that's a new one. Forgive my boredom with my sick hubby.

Unless this dentist was working on his nether regions while fixing his teeth, then I don't see the correlation... Unless maybe he was taking some kind of medication prior to seeing the dentist that could have had some affect on his sperm, which he then stopped taking once the problem was fixed... but that even sounds crazy. Sounds like an OWT/coincidence to me!

Yes, it can for women, and it wouldn't surprise me if the same held true at least a little bit for men. It isn't an instant fix for women, and it would be even less instant for men. Since the sperm used today began the process 72-90 prior to today, you are looking at a minimum of 3 months before work done on a man today would have any effect.

Thanks so much for sharing that. I thought what she said sounded a little out there, but sometimes things are linked that you wouldn't expect.
