Length of sleep

My LO is 8 weeks today and the longest he sleeps is 3 hours before waking because he is hungry. People keep telling me how their kids slept much longer by this point. Any one else out there experiencing the same? We just made the switch from bf to formula due to gastrointestinal issues and i was hoping for a longer chunk of sleep but it never happened.

You're not alone. My little guy is 5 weeks and sleeping anywhere from 2 to 4 hours with not much we can do to influence how long he does. If anyone was telling me what they're baby was doing at this age I think I'd just say "that must have been good/bad for you" and try to focus on my baby.

no two babies are the same and a pediatrician's time table is the only one you should go by. Even then, remember that most milestones occur in a window, not always by a set date.

Im in the same boat as you. My LO is also 8 weeks old. She usually sleeps 3 hours too. Although she did go 5 hours a couple nights.

My LO is almost 8 weeks and just beginning to get into a routine even though we've been trying for quite a while. She feeds every two and a half to three hours. Still haven't gotten her to sleep past four hours.

My LO is 7 weeks and I was going to ask a similar question. He slept really good last week almost ever night for 5 hour stretches but now we are back to eating every 3. I'm going back to work next week and don't know how I'm going to do it other than look like a zombie.

You are not alone. My LO is 9 wks and sleeps only 3 hours through the night. The good thing is he wakes up for only feeding then goes back to sleep. So I am only awake for about 20 min.
