Sometimes our schedule gets thrown off like that too. If he only naps short, is he interested in playing again? Sometimes will eat, play, sleep, then if it is not time to eat again yet play then sleep again. This schedule really helped me to understand my LO's cues. I knew after playing that she was tired. Majority of the naps I have to get her to sleep in my arms then put her down. Naps are way longer if I hold her for the whole thing which i know is spoiling, but as long as she is quiet. I didn't try to get her into the easy method, it kind of just happened on its own.
only reason I wanted to do it was to get him a nap schedule. When he was younger ( he is now 10 weeks) he would nap on his own. The past few weeks he would only nap on me. I got him to the point where I can put him down for little naps, maybe 30 min. When I let him sleep on me he will nap an hour or two, but I can't get anything done that way and I have a 3 yo that needs me.
