I've always really liked this name but don't think I would ever actually use it, maybe in the mn spot. Sounds like a name that could easily become a fad girls name.

I actually like it. I'd do a simple middle name- Thomas, James, Scott, etc..

I like it, but I couldn't use it. I had a Korean kid in high school who's named was changed to Brighton when he moved here. All I would be able to think about was the really funny, smart Korean kid who could break dance really well. Lol

NMS either, but only because I'm tired of the B names for boys: Brayden, Bracen, Bryson, etc.

NMS. Plus, i don't think it would be said correctly consistently. Depending on the part of the country you're in, it could be said BriUHN or Brighton.

NMS. Also, I have only heard it on a girl or as the name of a place.

I guess it's ok, if you're fine with your child being named after a place. Brighton is a seaside city in England.

I like it a lot.  I know of one boy with this name and I considered it for our son.  I don't see it ever being mispronounced as Brian as pp said.  I think most people know how to read the word "Brighton" and if they don't that is their problem and not yours lol.

It sounds like the name of a place more than a person. For that reason, I'm not crazy about it. Kind of like naming your kid Boston. Lol

It is the name of the son on The Nanny. It's NMS but I have no issues with it. I think it would age well and isn't going to be really popular.

Not a fan. I think it's subject to mispronunciation and it sounds more like a trendy girl name. UNLESS it's a family name. That's a different story.
