lbonga1:I've been thinking of packing mine, but I feel like I use a lot of things that I would want to take on a daily basis. Like my robe, toothbrush, hairbrush, etc. I guess I could pack some PJ pants, but if I'm only packing that one thing for now then really what's the point?
That's basically how I feel. A few weeks ago I had a weird night with BH contractions being weird and for an hour or so it looked like I'd need to go in and I realized how unprepared I am if it were the real thing, but in all honesty, everything that needs to go in (other than the stuff for DD#2 like her going home outfit) is stuff I use daily/frequently so that I can't really pack it until I need it.
And quite frankly, I didn't use 99% of what I packed. We haven't taken the tour of the newly remodeled hospital yet, (same place I delivered before), but my room the first time had no shower. I wore the hospital gown until I was allowed home. All I got to use was my toothbrush. So quite frankly, if I didn't have a thing, I wouldn't really need anything at all until I'm ready to go home (outfit to wear home + LO's going home outfit) and a toothbrush (which could be bought across the street at a drugstore by anyone coming to visit me!)
So I'm not going to stress on it. I'll make sure the things that need to be ready at home (the bassinet is set up, the new car seat installed, clothing washed for LO) are good to go by week, say, 35, and then I'll throw together a bag when I'm in labor if I get a chance. If not, somebody buy me a toothbrush.
