My newest nephew is due to arrive in the next two weeks, and I'm super excited of course. His name though: Hy.att Madd.ux Lastname

Hyatt I am not crazy about. Love Maddox, but spelled with the 'o' and not the 'u.'

Our daughter, Emma Kate, is 9. Born 10/16/03 @29w & 1lb13oz

BFP on 12/3/12, EDD 8/19/13, U/S 1/17/13 showed blighted ovum, d&c 1/24/13
BFP on 4/19/13, EDD 12/29/13, u/s 5/20/13 showed baby with heart rate of 180 bpm! Yea, baby!
u/s 6/4/13 showed a wiggly baby with a heart rate of 176!

Ha. Here's the story: both names are family names. Hy.att is paternal grandma's maiden name and Madd.ux is maternal great grandmas' maiden name. So the poor kid has three last names. They originally were going with Hy.att Charles which I think was a little better. Not my kid, not my name...but jeez.

Another fine example of parents who are trying way too hard to "honor" everyone with one kid.  Really.. you don't have to do that.  One family name per kid is just fine.  Or even better.. name the kid for HIM/HERself!

 This was my thought exactly. I mean, she says she wants 4 kids, so why not spread the family names around a little?

I know of two 20+ year old men (twins) named Hyatt and Wyatt.  They're the older brothers of a student that attended a high school where I used to teach.
