Diaper sizes

When did your LO change from NB diapers to size 1?

I'm questioning if I should start using size 1 diapers for my son and I was just wondering when others transitioned. He is only 2 weeks old but is pushing into 8 pounds. The NB size just seem to be getting snug. I think today I'll try on a size 1 diaper and see how it fits/holds.

We switched Elliott to size one after 3 weeks... It really depend on how they are fitting and if they are holding what they need to hold.

We switched to size one at 2 weeks as well and our son was also about 8 pounds.  He is six weeks old now and I am wondering when to switch to size 2.

DS was born at 9 lbs 5.  He was in 1s at the hospital.  If the kid isn't leaking stay in the smallest size because it's cheaper.

My son is 8 days old and weighs 7 lbs 8 ounces. Newborn diapers fit him but he has been peeing through them and soaking his clothes constantly. We started using size 1's and folding the top in and that has helped his leaking. They fit pretty well too.

our LO was 8lbs 1oz at birth and is almost a month old (OMG!) but she is still in newborn size. They used size 1 at the hospital, but they seemed really big on her and the newborn seem to fit better. She's a skinny girl though, and still in newborn clothes too (She was 8lbs 5oz at her 2 week appt).

DD was about 5 weeks when we went up a size, she kept having blowouts in her NB diapers so it was pretty easy to tell.

About 4 weeks for my ds. I could do either nb or 1s but had tons of 1s from our shower, he was about 9lb at the switch.

I think we switched at about one month old to size ones (maybe a little later). Joey was 7 12, but he was long and thin. I think it really depends not so much on weight, but how chubby your LO is or isn't.

My LO was about 7.5 lbs and 1 week old when we changed to size 1 diapers (Pampers).  She got a diaper rash in the NICU and when we got home it didn't get better.  I then noticed the rash climbing her legs over her hips and the NB diapers left marks on her hips.  So we changed to size 1 diapers and no more marks or rash.  I've noticed the same marks on her legs again, but she was wearing Peoples Choice diapers.  When I changed back to Pampers I noticed the pampers fit looser.  It seems the Pampers are longer than the Peoples Choice diapers and she still fits the size 1.

We switched after a few weeks when we ran out of NB diapers. Unless you have a small baby you could use 1s right away. I say go ahead and get the 1s.

This. Every time she peed or pooped it would leak all up her back with the n. 1s come higher up her back so by the end of week 1 we had stopped using the n size altogether. Too many blowouts!

My 12 week old is in a size 2.  He is a little over 13lbs.  He wore NB for about 2 weeks, then switched to a 1.  He is growing out of these things fast.
