4-6 week growth spurt

How much did your LOs eat during their growth spurts, mainly the 4 ish week one? DD is five weeks and is I'm assuming going through the spurt because she's acting the way she did for the last two. But this time it seems like she's nursing more than she did with other spurts, basically giving me a 15-30 min break between feedings. I can never tell the difference between comfort nursing and feeding, but when I do the finger test and sort of stick my finger in her mouth, she'll try to suck then pull away and fuss, so I'm guessing that means hunger?

Also, how long did this growth spurt last for you ladies?

Well, my baby is only 3 weeks old, so I have reached a four weeks growth spurt, but.... It seems like he eats constantly. When my milk came in, it was he's catching up for those early days when he wasn't really eating much, then there was the two week growth spurt, now I hear its a 3 week growth spurt there's a 4/5 week spurt on the horizon? My LC also said to expect a growth spurt at 6 weeks. So I'm starting to think its hardly a set of distinct spurts, but just a constantly growing, constantly feeding baby.

My son is doing the same thing at 5 weeks. He eats all the time during the day (15-20 min breaks like you). Last night was rough because he also fed from 11:45 pm - 2:45 am non-stop. Ugh. I'm hoping it ends soon.

My LO is 4weeks old. But he started at around 3 weeks. Have the same experience with you. My LC told me its not gonna last that long. So we'll just hold on.

It happened at 2-3 wks, too, because there's a growth spurt then, too, supposedly. They gave us a heads up at the hospital about the spurts and cluster feeding, but didn't really get into detail. Honestly I don't know why they bother distinguishing between the first few spurts.  There's one at 7-10 days, another at 2-3 wks, and another at 4-6. Why not just say the entire first month and a half is one loooooong growth spurt with a few easy days mixed in?

I'm so happy to see this post and know my DD is not a crazy baby! She is 4 weeks today but we having dealing with the same think for the last week. She had these symptoms a few days ago, got better and then yesterday and the day before all she wants to do is nurse.

She was taking 2 1/2 to 3 hour naps, now, if she is not on my boob I'm lucky if she sleeps 30 min at a time. It is EXAUSTING!! I was ready to give up on BF but I guess it would be the same thing with formula if it is a growth spurt.

Also, DD has started this new thing for about the last 4 days of not sleeping unless I am holding her. She used to sleep well in her rock n' play but now if I get her laid down I'm lucky if she stays asleep 5 minutes before waking up and screaming uncontrolably until I nurse her :/ Poor DH, anytime he tries to hold her she instantly starts crying. I can hand her off to him in a dead sleep and within minutes she is awake crying. He keeps saying she hates him, I feel so bad for him. She is kinda a daddy's girl so I'm not sure if this attachment to me is part of the growth spurt or what?

THIS EXACTLY.
I definitely think I'm rolling right into the 4 to 6 from the 2 to 3 week spurt.
