Can you feel the baby (super dumb question...)

I know this is a really dumb question.... so just...entertain me lol

I have started showing already (18 weeks) and was chilling at home wondering "hmm, I wonder if I can feel the baby if I push on my uterus".

So...my question: If you feel around and push on your uterus, can you FEEL the baby inside? I don't just mean your uterus, but the actual baby?

Not at this point. When you get closer to the end you can feel and see different parts.

No. When I was further along with DD I could tell if she was poking her foot or butt out, but that's it.

I can't really feel the baby, but there are a lot of times that I can tell he is on one side opposed to the other and that isn't just by where he kicks me. But I could never tell you what I was feeling. It will just feel different where he is at then on the side that he isn't on.

You might not be able to feel a what body part the baby is, but like the PP said, you can tell if the baby is on one side or not if you feel around.

No.  Later on in the pregnancy with DS I knew right where he was positioned based on the fact that he always hiccupped by my left hip.  So I would occasionally be able to make out a butt or limb.  Or even more interesting, SEE it.  Not like the shape of it, but suddenly he'd stick his arm out or do a summersault and I would see my stomach change shape as his butt poked out on one side.

Pretty cool.

Not yet. Baby is still too low, but the entire pelvic region is nice and firm. I think I was around 28 weeks when I could feel a baby bum.

At 22 weeks I was able to feel a part when I laid down.  Im assuming its an extremity.

This. Sometimes I can feel where the baby is ....and sometimes I don't feel anything except my uterus. Also sometimes my tummy looks a bit lopsided or I can see a spot poking out. I try not to do it often but if I do push on my tummy it usually just makes the baby move or kick.

If I pressed I would be able to feel a VERY light pat back. At around 19-20 I started to feel kicks which are now big enough it'll move whatever is on my belly (looks like I have belly hiccups).

I'm 18 weeks and started feeling was felt like bubbles or fluttering, but since then, have not felt much of anything. I have tried pushing on my uterus after eating and laying down to see if that will get a reaction, but so far nothing. :(

And no, I haven't felt the actual shape of the baby yet.

Not yet. But I have an anterior placenta. With DS it didn't happen until later. But it's lots of fun!
