No way, but I like classic names. If I saw this name I would have no clue how to say it. I'm not a fan of that.

It's not a name for me.  I'm a huge Xenite, so I immediately think of Xena's son (Solan) when I see the name.

Eh. My DH works in a town called Solon and that's what it makes me think of. Closely followed by Han Solo. NMS.

I know a Solon who pronounces his name the same way.  Solon is a legit name.  I've never heard of Solan...

I think Solon, with the O is a legit name.  Some Roman orator or stateman if memory serves.
