Heating Pad to help ovaries make big follicles??

Has anyone used heating pads to lie across their lower tummy during Stimming? What exactly is this supposed to do and did you think it helped??
TTC since 11/11. 10 months natural= 10 BFN 8/12 First appt with RE 4 semen anaylsis later 1.9 million count, 21% motility and very poor morphology Me- bloodwork, 2 ultrasounds, HSG exam =I'm fine 3 months of testosterone treatments = 3 more BFN DH bkoodwork after 3 months treatment= no change RE says we can continue with hormone treatment for MIF, But says it could be year or more to see results that would even make us IUI candidates RE says we can try IUI but doesn't expect the results to be good based on severe MIF. 12/12 decide to move forward with IVF Started IVF Cycle #1 1/11/13

Me 31, DH 32 TTC summer 2008 Diagnose me. DOR, DH perfect IUI # 1 6/2010, BFN IUI # 2 8/2010, BFN IVF # 1 10/2010 Canceled poor response IVF 1.2 12/2010 BFP! mc 6 weeks 2 days Mental health break for 10 months IVF # 2 10/2011 BFN IVF # 3 5/2012 BFP! 10 eggs retrieved (best ever) 7 fertilized transferred 3 Beta #1 14dpo - 72, Beta #2 17dpo 145 Beta 3 20dpo 521 First u/s June 15 saw HB 126 bpm missed m/c 7/5/12 10 weeks D&C 7/6/12 IVF#4 ER 9/30 ET 10/3 Beta 10/16 BFFN. IVF #5 final with o/e. ER 1/21 only 1 retrieved, hoping my lonestar is the one. Beta #1 2/6/13 = 209.... please let this be it! Keep growing lonestar! Beta #2 2/8/13 - 586! , Beta #3 2/10/13 = 1898. First u/s perfect little heart beat at 116 bpm. Measure 6 weeks 1 day. EDD 10/14/13 3/4/13 measuring right on track beautiful heartbeat 171 bpm, graduated from RE to OB... bittersweet. PAIF/SAIF always welcome!

I'm not sure of the reasoning, but my acupuncturist puts a warming lamp over my tummy during stims. After ET she puts the lamp over my feet (to stimulate blood flow to the uterus, I think.)

I would check with your dr. first. My clinic told me no heating pads, no heated seats, and no really hot showers. That the heat can cause your egg quality to be lower, that heat increases the process of breakdown in the egg.

My RE said no heating pads.  Not sure the reasoning, but I'd ask to be sure before doing anything.

My RE said nothing to hot after ET but never said anything about before. I would ask before doing it.

me-36 PCOS, Tubal Problems, and polyps removed 7-12
DH - 36 extremely handsome and no fertility problems
IUI 8-12 and 9-12 failed
IVF 12-21-2012 - 2 I think perfect no matter what the dr graded them (2B)embryos transferred Beta on 12-31-12 Positve - Beta is 21
Beta 2 1-2-13 - 31
Beta 3 1-4-13 - 53
Beta 4 1/9 - 212!
Ultrasound 1/10 - Nothing completely empty uterus Beta 1/14 - 743; Beta 1/17 - 1704 ultrasound shows nothing. Officially a miscarriage. 1/21 Beta 3900 Dr. says it ectopic. Ultrasound shows a miracle heartbeat right in the uterus where it belongs! Dr. says I can be cautiously optomistic!!! Hang in there baby!

This.  Definitely no heat after ET, but I am having the same thing with my acupuncturist,  I would ask your Dr.
