Good First U/S

Saw baby today. I'm 8w5d and measured right on track. Heart was 168 bpm. It's reassuring since we had a miscarriage in March and had been trying for a couple years. We have a DD too. We are relieved but still cautious. One question... My Dr doesn't do NT scan. I'm with Kaiser in Hawaii. I thought it was odd since they seem pretty common. Is your dr doing NT scan?

Awesome! The OB I had during the first tri with DD did not offer them unless you had certain risk factors. My OB now does them routinely unless you opt out.

I have Kaiser in CA and they asked me like 4 times if I wanted it done. I wonder if you just need to ask for it?

Congratulations! My doctor offered it to me even though I don't have risk factors but still would definitely do it just to be on the safe side. I'm doing it at my 12 weeks appointment. Excited! Good Luck! :)

Congrats! My dr does NT scan but it seems like protocol varies widely.

Maybe we will have to end up paying for one but I think I'd really like to have one for piece of mind.
