Help with girl name

We are team green and we have had a boy name picked out since I was 7 weeks pregnant, now I am 35.5 and we have yet to decide on a girl name. Our choices are:

 Lila Marianne or

Josie Marianne

DH's name is Joseph. Everyone calls him Joe. Is Josie too close? TIA

Josie is too cutesy for me and doesnt age well. Why not do Josephine Marianne and call her Josie?

I like Lila,  plus the chances of her adopting the nickname Jo by friends as she gets older will be confusing at home I think.

I like Josephine (Josie) but it is very close to Joe/Joseph, for me a little too close.  Lila is cute.  There is probably a significance to Marianne, but I do think it would be a good first name if you wanted to go that route.

I think Josie is a little too close to Joe/Joseph. Especially if she ever gets the "Jo" nickname.

I do like Lila.

I like Josie/Josephine but it's way too George Foremanesque to have a Joseph and a Josie/Josephine.

I think Lila sounds better with Marianne anyway.

For all the reasons PPs have stated about Joseph/Josie being way too close and Josie being too cutesy, as well as a strong personal preference, Lila FTW!

Since your husband is Joe, I'd definitely go with Lila.

I prefer Lila. I don't think Josie will age well. Maybe Josephine with nn Josie.

Personally I would go with Lila so the names weren't so close.

I feel like Josie/Josephine might be something to be cautious of with your H's similar first name- not only the close name/nn but the fact that you might be giving her the impression that you really wanted a boy to be Joseph Jr. and you settled on a feminine version of it instead because you ended up with her. I would definitely go Josephine instead of Josie if you are set on that name though, it ages better and gives her a nice full name to use professionally, even if you only ever call her Josie.

Both Josephine and Lila are nice, but I'd go with Lila in this case.

I would go with Lila Marianne for 2 reasons:

1) Josie is too closed to Joseph, it's the feminine version of Joseph.

2) Even if they weren't the same name, I only like Josie as a nickname for Josephine.  I don't feel like Josie ages well.

Lila is beautiful.

I wouldn't do Josie as a first name, it's a nickname.  I LOVE Josephine, however.
