roselyn81:Thanks all! My cycles are pretty regular and didn't have to wait for my cycles to "normalize" after stopping the pill. I think we're going to try timing it exactly during ovulation and if things don't work, I'm going to see my OB. I'm a little concerned bc my husband was married before and he and his ex had trouble getting pregnant, and never did end up pregnant. She had PCOS though. However, I don't want to waste any time. I'm 31 and if there are any problems, I'd like to know what they are sooner than later and find out our options. I'm considering seeing my OB if it doesn't happen after 6 months...
You're still very young, they don't usually consider seeing someone before a year of trying at that age. 35 and older is when they recommend seeing someone after only 6 months. They MIGHT consider it after 6 months if you're actively charting, not just 'timing for ovulation'. Get an account with Fertility Friend, start temping, checking cm, and testing with OPKs to help pinpoint your ovulation time. If you can show how much you know about your cycles and have the charts to back it up, you might be considered for fertility testing earlier than one year.
ETA I stopped BCP in August, got my BFP in December.
