My ds is formula fed and is 12 weeks old. He's doing the exact same thing. He eats lot less and bottles are becoming a struggle - he pushes the nipple out with his tongue or bats the bottle away. I was thinking he was pushing the bottle away because he's discovering how his hands work and wants to grab at the bottle, and it comes off as him pushing it away. I don't know why he's pushing the bottle out with his tongue... he'll do it, then we'll take a break and I'll offer the bottle 5 mins later and he'll drink. It seems to me that he's more interested in what's going on around him lately than drinking. My DS also drinks the normal amount at night, when it's dark and he can't get distracted as easily. I've just been taking more breaks with the bottles.. it takes longer, but I really just think he's getting distracted.
