Slight Spotting/Cramps WWYD

HI All,

I'm 10 weeks and haven't had any spotting at all but yesterday I noticed a bit of brown CM on my underwear and when I wiped. I also feel mild cramping (although I feel like I've had mild cramping on and off the whole time). The spotting has come and gone and come back at various times over yesterday and today ranging from brown to pinkish peach.... Do you think I should call my doctor?

My doctor dismissed my little bit of brown spotting as nothing, so I think what you're experiencing is normal. That being said, I've always heard if there is cramping and spotting, it's always best to call the doctor or nurseline to check in.

That sounds totally normal, but id probably call my doc anyway just to let them know.

What you're experiencing is clearly spotting, not bleeding, and it sounds like the cramping you're having isn't unlike what you've already had off and on. Both of these are very normal.  Unless you're having period-like bleeding with unbearably painful cramping, you shouldn't need to worry.

My doctor wants a call for any spotting/blood.  Are you worried?  I would go with your intuition.

I just saw my doctor the day before yesterday for my first u/s and when I asked her about spotting, she said to always always call if you have any no matter how slight. She said it can be really normal, a ton of women have it but at their practice they will always do an u/s to make sure everything is ok.

The spotting I had was totally fine, but I would definitely call your doctor just to make sure everything is ok.

I did end up calling. I was struggling with whether I should or not but after everyone's input decided to call. It has stopped entirely today but he said it's likely fine and if it happens again to come in. My next ultrasound is Jan. 28th so he I can get checked out then.... seems like an eternity away :(
