STM's did you deliver early?

Did you delver early? Of course I hope not to go too far past my due date, or even a little early. So when did you have Lo2? Was labor shorter?

I delivered at 39 weeks 4 days. My labor was shorter.

I delivered the day before my due date with DS2 and I was in labor all day. 7am until I delivered at 6:10pm. This time, although longer, was a lot less painful... I dilated to 9 barely feeling my contractions. Also, I pushed for 3hrs with DS1, for DS2 I pushed for 10 minutes.

DS1- 40w3d, 27.5 hours of labor.

DD1 - 40w exactly, 9.5 hours of labor.

DS2 - 39w1d, 7 hours of labor

DD2 - 39w5d, 5.5 hours of labor.

DS was born 7 days early and DD was born 5 days early, so my pregnancy was actually 2 days longer with my second. My labor was shorter and much easier though. With DS my water broke at 3am, contractions started at 6am, and he was born at 2:25pm after 1 1/2 hours of pushing so 11 1/2 hours start to finish. With DD my water broke at 2:30pm, contractions started at 4:30pm, and she was born at 8:16pm after 10 minutes of pushing so less than 6 hours start to finish. With both kids I had been dilated 3cm and almost fully effaced for several weeks.

DD born at 39w2d with 2.5 hours of total labor
DS 8/10/2010 8lbs. 6oz. and 21.5in long! DD 11/28/2012 8lbs. 7oz. and 20in long!

DD- born 40w 4d..I had been laboring for 2 days and the contractions were intense!

DS- born 41w...went in for induction but was laboring on my own.  labor wasn't as bad this time (probably b/c my epi worked!)

I had a second degree tear with DD.  DS was over 2 lbs heavier than her and I didn't tear at all.  This recovery has been so much easier!

DD1 I was induced at 40w2d with a rash and open capillary, DS2 39w3d csection, DD3 I went into labor naturally at 38w2d and had to be rushed in for a csection. As far as length of labor, can't tell, but Id say faster... On pit with DD1 it took all day to get ready to push... This time I went from closed and high to 4cm 80percent in a matter of minutes. It's different for everyone, but generally faster the second and third time around.

My first was born at 38w4d after 21 hours of labor.

My second was born at 40w1d after 3.5 hours of labor. Water broke first with both.

I was induced at 39 weeks but delivery was quicker than my first. I was induced at 40 weeks, 2 days with my first.

I delivered the day before my due date, while the FB came 9 days earlier. But I had a LEEP which makes it hard to dilate sometimes.

I delivered at 39 weeks 4 days with DD2.  With DD1, she was delivered at 40 weeks 4 days.  With DD2, I actually experienced labor before my water broke.  I had a RCS, so I can't say much about labor.

I had c-sections both times, but I did go into labor on my own with each.

DD1 - 2.5 weeks early, about 10 hours active labor, 2 hours of it being pushing

DD2 - 1 week early, 14 hours active labor, about 15 minutes-30 mins of it being pushing

DD1 they broke my water and 9cm and DD2 the water broke before active labor started. I'm the exception of the group I guess since my second labor was longer and more painful but that was because my water broke right away with DD2 and she was also sunny side up. Stinker!

My first came at 36w5d. Labor was 17 hours, had an epidural and pushed for 3.5 hours.

My second came at 38w2d. I delivered him within 45 minutes of arriving to the hospital. I came in 8 cm dilated and had no time for an epidural. I wasn't even positive I was in labor when I called the on call doctor at 8pm. I delivered him at 949 pm. So, active labor was less than 2 hours.

DD - delivered 40w1d, 12 hrs of labor, 40 min of pushing.

DS - delivered 39w4d, 6 hrs of labor, 2 pushes and he was out.
