hard time at work (vent/rant)

i work in retail and have to deal with people all day and im having a hard time keeping it together. between the rude people who accuse me of being a liar all the time, the ones who act like i dont know how to do my job, the ones who scream and wave at me from across the store because they are too lazy to walk over to me and ask me for help, the ones who act like they couldnt find a fully loaded suv if it was right in front of them about to run their stupid selves over, the ones who act like im their servant and want me to do the shopping for them, the ones who ask 500000 questions at the register and waste my time then complain about our prices (i dont make the prices i just work there people!!!) and the ones who come in with 7 kids and let them run wild all over the store and get mad at us when we ask the kids not to run so no one gets hurt. good lord what is happening to society!!!

since when is it ok to scream "ay guh i need to ax you sumin" from across a store instead of politely walking up and asking for help like a normal human being!! maybe its the hormones and im being overly sensitive but im seriously having a hard time keeping it together at work. 

sorry so long just feels good to get it all off my chest lol

Retail is a rough job to have while pregnant.

I run a few stores here in SoCal and its very very hard to keep it together sometimes. I just keep telling myself 3 weeks until second tri!!

I'm sure it's tough to deal with being pregnant. I worked retail for years and people are very rude. But remember you do work in a service industry. You are technically supposed to be walking around and helping these customers and not sitting on a perch behind a counter somewhere.

do we work at the same store? lol I get the same thing all the time.  I'm more tired at work than anything though sometimes I just want to nap on my break.

I'm a librarian at a community college and I swear you just described my workplace. I am definitely supposed to sit behind the desk but people seem to think screaming from across the room is totally appropriate (what ever happened to being quiet in the library?). Absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes I just want to smack people. Sorry you're having a hard time OP!

Serenity now is the only thing getting me through the day! I am such a witch! And no one knows I am pregnant so they just think I am being more hostile than usual! The girl next to me was chewing so loud today I nearly killed her with my look of death! I hope this irritability improves... I might be fired!
