I'm wanting to get a baby carrier to use so I'm looking for recommendations from you lovely ladies on ones that work well and even ones that you don't like. TIA!

love, love, love my K'tan.  We actually like it so much that DH even got one.  We take walks in it, use it for running errands and i wear it around the house when DS is crabby. He almost always takes a nap when I wear him in it; he's so comfy!

I didn't have the patience to deal with all the wrapping required by the moby.  I gave mine away after trying to use it six or seven times.

We have the ErgoBaby and LOVE it! The Moby was difficult to put on and LO didn't care for it so we moved on to the Ergo. He's a happy guy when he's in it.

We tried 3 with ds! First we used the moby since he was so small. He put up with it for a month. I agree with the pp that it's a pain. I tried it once so far with dd and she wasn't into it. I also have an ergo and a becco. I love the ergo the best. Again, ds never did, so I'm hoping dd will once she's big enough for it! It's so comfortable! I got the becco b/c it's supposed to be better for smaller babies and ds was very small. It's also nice, but I like the ergo better.

We have a K'tan too and I really like it. DS did not like Kangaroo position at all, so I thought we may not be able to use it. Since he has gotten a little more head control, we tried the hug position. He seems to like it a lot better. So far I have just worn it at home, but I really like it so far.

My advice is to find a shop that will let you try several with your baby in it.  That way, you can see what works for BOTH of you.  I thought I would love the Moby, and I thought it was easy, but S hates being in it.  I wish I would have known that before I spent $70 on it.  S loves the ergo, but it hurts my back.  Another $115 I wish I had back.  Finally, we figured out that a ring sling works for both of us.  The shop I finally used let me borrow a few for a security deposit.

I have the moby wrap and the ergo baby. I love both. The ergo is more for later. The moby wrap is more for now while LO is small. It works better since she likes to sleep and has little head control. Once she's a few months well switch to the ergo carrier.

Me too!! Some people don't think the infant insert is worth it but I do. If you watch it on Amazon it will often go down from $25 to about $17. I like it because it's easy to use, safe, and comfortable for both me and baby. I get overwhelmed with the other carriers (even the simple ring sling I have) and worry that I'm not tying or situating DD correctly in them. With the Ergo I kind of feel like it's "stupid proof". I also like that I can use it well into her toddler years by using the side or back carry.

I love the moby, yes it's a pain to put on, but she snuggles in and sleeps really well in it. My DH likes the Bjorn, I don't feel comfortable with that one at all. We have a sling, that she didn't like. Haven't tried our Ergo yet, since I refuse to spend the money on the infant insert.

This is what I plan on doing when I can afford an Ergo. I also had a Moby, and while I got to putting it on like a pro, it took too long and by the time I was ready to put LO in it, he was screaming his head off and got upset when I tried to shove him in. My LO was kind of big for his age, and stretched his legs earlier than I thought he would.

We have an Ergo, Moby and two ring slings. I love my Moby! DH really likes the Ergo, but since my DD is so small still, I prefer the Moby because the Ergo is a bit bulky with the infant insert. I like my ring slings, but I haven't gotten as familiar with them yet and they aren't as comfortable as my other carriers.

I have a Beco butterfly 2 and absolutely love it! Its a soft structured carrier and not a crotch dangler. It comes in cute patterns and comes with the infant insert. Definitely not as bulky as the ergo. You can put your baby in it and then on your back like a backpack without needing any assistance
